Jim Green reaches 300 County Appearances
County
Match Secretary Jim Green reached a memorable milestone
on Tuesday when the County entertained Norfolk CBA at
Croydon M.O. BC. In a match which Surrey won by 119 -
93, Jim was making his 300th. appearance for the County.
To the best of our knowledge no-one has ever reached
that huge number of appearances before - and it is
highly unlikely to be beaten. Jim said he was
embarrassed by being presented with a plaque and a gift
to mark this historic occasion. Jim began bowling for
the County in 1986 when he played against Kent CBA at
West Wickham BC. In the photograph Jim (second from
right) is shown at the after match presentation together
with (from left to right) Junior Vice-President
Terry Foote, County President Aga Hassan, County
Secretary John Neale and Senior Vice-President Deric
Homes.
