The Surrey County Mens Past Presidents Bowling
Association (SCMPPBA) is a separate entity to the Surrey
County BA and has two classes of membership. Full
members are all surviving past Presidents of Surrey
County Bowling Association, the majority of whom are
still active. The full members hold an A.G.M. each year,
usually in November when, as well as taking other
decisions, they elect ‘associate playing’ members. These
‘associate’ members are usually individuals who have
given either their Club or the County long and loyal
service over many years and who have been proposed and
seconded by a ‘full’ member. There are currently 13
surviving ‘full’ members,12 of whom are currently still
active, and they are supported by over 90 ‘associate’
members. A number of these highly enjoyable fixtures are
arranged each year, many against similar Associations in
other counties, and a Dinner is held annually in March,
open to both types of membership.
